Nice work (?) if you can get it: Congress plans 239 days off next year

If you were aggrieved to hear that President Obama is about to embark on a 17-day trip to Hawaii that will cost taxpayers $4 million, brace yourself: Rachel Maddow reminded viewers that members of perhaps the least productive Congress ever will treat themselves to a staggering 239 days off in 2013 with just 126 reserved for, you know, working. (The 2011-2012 U.S. Congress have passed 196 bills so far, on pace to be the lowest number ever.) In three months January, November and December Congress will be in session just eight days. Not approving.  [Source]
