Gay men sue counselors who tried to turn them straight

"Conversion therapy," which purports to turn gay people straight, might sound like a disturbing subplot from an episode of "American Horror Story" — but a New Jersey lawsuit alleges that four men were victims of the discredited practice. Sheldon Bruck contends that an organization called JONAH (Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing) offered to make him straight — and tried to achieve that goal with techniques that "included visiting bath houses 'in order to be nude with father figures.'" For the record, none of it worked — all four men now identify themselves as gay. [Source]
