Guess which country thinks heating up a frozen food is cooking

12/12/2012

What do hungry college students and British parents have in common? Their definitions of "cooking." A new study has found that a large number of Brits don’t cook, and the ones that do have very liberal ideas of what constitutes cooking. Mostly this means taking things out of the fridge and heating it up. Only 19 percent of adults say they cook every night, while a fifth of parents surveyed said sticking a ready-made frozen meal in the microwave is cooking. Another 27 percent said heating up frozen foods such as pizza in the oven is a form of cooking. We'd guess that a poll in the U.S. would have similar results. Bon appetit! [Source]
