Cop becomes online hero with simple, heartwarming act caught on camera
11/29/2012A New York cop has melted hearts simply by helping out a homeless guy on a cold night. The picture, taken by a tourist in Times Square, shows Officer Lawrence Deprimo, 25, giving a pair of boots to a barefoot man, kneeling to help him put them on. The touching photograph went into viral overdrive after being posted on the NYPD's Facebook page, garnering more than 300,000 'likes', 18,000 comments and nearly 70,000 shares. "You could see the blisters on the man's feet," the officer said of his decision to spend $75 on a pair of size 12s. Aw, shoot, we're crying already and it ain't even Christmas yet. [Source]
