Cops attacked over 'No diving' rule at Brooklyn pool
7/4/2012What is in the water at Brooklyn's McCarren Park Pool? Just days after enraged swimmers attacked a lifeguard at the newly opened pool for telling them not to do backflips, a police officer was punched in the face and another injured during a fracas. This time the hullabaloo was over the pool's "No Dive" rule, which police officers were trying to enforce when a 20-year-old swimmer hit one cop in the head and another policeman hurt his wrist trying to cuff the diving enthusiast. Police say two other men were arrested in a separate incident at the same time for disorderly conduct. And here we thought that people went to a pool to cool down.
