France wants everyone to please stop all the mean 'French bashing'
1/11/2013Mon dieu! Who knew the French were so sensitive? Corinne Lepage, a French member of the European Parliament, wants everyone to stop picking on poor ol’ France. Lepage issued a plea Thursday begging the bullying citizens of the world to stop their "French bashing." Lepage wants outsiders — and her fellow Frenchies — to stop treating her homeland like "the scum of the earth" and a "laughing stock." She says France is a glorious, cheese-eating, wine-swilling, bread-baking nation "blessed by the gods," and claims all the mean things people are saying were a "major stumbling block" for France's economic recovery.
