Couple defend decision to let daughter, 5, swim with sharks

Some parents holidaying with their children might occasionally harbor secret thoughts about throwing their kids to the sharks and then there are those who actually do so. After Elana and David Barnes posted a YouTube video of their five-year-old daughter, Anaia, happily snorkeling with reef sharks in the Bahamas, folks were outraged. The couple reacted to the barrage of online criticism by saying "Life is too short to be boring," with Anaia's father adding, "I'm more concerned that they don't put seatbelts in school buses."
