Jet pack couple takes wedding vow to have and to hover

Until Curiosity can handle passengers and send back wedding photos from Mars, Amanda Volf and Grant Engler can lay claim to the most cutting-edge ceremony on this or any other planet. The couple exchanged vows in Newport Beach, Calif., ankle deep in the Pacific, then hovered over the water for the first dance harnessed in jet packs. It's the sort of knot-tying Volf never tried to sell to a client in her earlier life as a wedding planner. As you can see in the 10 photos above, the groom was spiffy in a wetsuit and white tie, while bride wore white board shorts and, yes, waterproof makeup.
