Couple sacrifices honeymoon to pay for dog's $12K cancer treatment

10/9/2012

How far are you willing to go for your pets? For Clare and Ceri Morgan, they sacrificed their honeymoon. The Welsh newlyweds had saved nearly $12,000 for a trip to Las Vegas, but instead they'll use the money to pay for chemotherapy for Teeto, their 5-year-old American Bulldog. "Teeto had to come first," Ceri said. "We had no hesitation; we had to use the money for his vet's bills." Teeto had cancer in his right shoulder, which meant that he had to have his front leg amputated in addition to the chemo, but he's managing well after the operation, the Morgans said. "We can go on honeymoon again when we've saved up," Clare said. "We want Teeto around for a lot longer." [Source]
