Couple shocked to see their engagement pic on anti-gay ad

It was bad enough that any organization would rip off a couple's engagement picture and use it for their own purposes, but Brian Edwards and Tom Privitere have endured something jaw-droppingly awful. A friend alerted the New York couple that an anti-gay group, Public Advocate of the United States, had swiped the pic from Edwards' blog, changed the background and put it beneath sarcastic, politically charged text about “family values.”

"Our initial reaction was complete shock," Privitere said. "We were heartbroken that our picture that was taken to represent love and family … was used for complete opposite purposes."
