Man guarding school apologizes for posing as Marine sergeant12/22/2012
Whether the kids at Hughson Elementary School outside Modesto, Calif., felt more secure with a Marine Corps sergeant standing guard in the wake of the Sandy Hook shootings is debatable, but here's who didn't feel good about it: the Marine Corps. It seems Craig Pusley had borrowed fatigues from a friend in violation of Corps policy and had never risen above the rank of private first class, making him just a "basic Marine," according to officials. Pusley has apologized for the masquerade while decrying that "everyone has to find a negative in every situation." Now he's doing guard duty in street clothes, which makes him a basic civilian.
