British man gets five years for posting beheading videos on Facebook
1/20/2013Yikes. A court in England has sentenced a British man to five years in jail for posting graphic beheading videos on Facebook. Craig Slee, 42, also posted links to a message from al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb that allegedly promoted terrorism. Though Slee made references on Facebook to having Taliban connections and having gone on visits to Afghanistan, investigators didn’t find any evidence of this, and Chief Supt. Tony Mole called Slee "a total fantasist." Mole also said there was no reason to believe Slee had planned any type of real-life terrorist attack, but that doesn’t make his online antics any less disturbing or, apparently, any more legal.
