Crane collapse at New York construction site injures seven
1/9/2013Today was grim for New Yorkers. This morning, an accident involving a commuter ferry injured dozens of people in lower Manhattan. Then this afternoon, a crane collapsed at a construction site in Queens, leaving seven construction workers hurt, three of them with serious injuries. The accident occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. in the Long Island City section of the borough. The cause of the collapse has yet to be determined. In October, high winds from Superstorm Sandy knocked over a crane on top of a Manhattan skyscraper. [Source]
