'CSI'-style poop test outs dog owners who don't scoop
6/13/2012Thanks to a new technology, the "D" in DNA can now stand for "dog poop." A company called PooPrints collects samples from each dog in an apartment complex or HOA-patrolled community and then, through DNA testing, can match them to any unscooped piles of poop on the property. The resident owner of the canine culprit (the poopetrator) would then face a fine. Satisfied clients say the $49.95-per-pile test — or just the threat of the test — really works. "The results won't come back come back as... 'a beagle left the pile of waste,'" Eric Mayer of PooPrints said. "It will be, 'the beagle in apartment 3A left the waste.'" Hear that, 3A? Stock up on baggies.
Is this the best way to solve the poo problem?
