Dad finds neighbor's python wrapped around baby in crib
7/9/2012This kid just turned 1, and he already probably has a better survival tale than you do. William Winans, of Matoon, Ill., was sleeping soundly in his crib, days before his first birthday, when a 2-foot-long python slithered in from a neighbor's apartment and curled up around his feet. Winans' father heard noises from the baby's room, and when he turned on a light discovered the slithery reptile coiled around his son's foot and chomping down. The tough tot was apparently unfazed by the whole ordeal, however, and didn't cry until his wounds were later cleaned at the hospital. Had the snake chosen his neck or chest, of course, it might have been a different story, but we're still nominating him for the "brave kid of the year" award.
