Dad punishes kid by making her hold sign on street
4/29/2012Quandria Bryant's father, Donell, wanted to teach her a lesson after she was suspended from her New Bern, Fla., high school, so he devised a devious punishment. He made Bryant stand on a highway, holding a two-sided sign saying, "I have a bad attitude. I disrespect people who try to help me." Her dad hopes it will shame her straight. "She thinks it's all about her," Donell said. "It's not." Quandria has vowed to stay out of trouble from now on. Only time will tell if she's serious, but her statement is presumably a good sign.
Is this punishment effective?
