People with too much free time sync up Daft Punk with '50s dancers
11/19/2012Is it Daft Punk that is timeless, or the Charleston? Or maybe simply a good dance beat (4:4 for life!) lives on generation after generation, taking many forms? Whatever larger unifying theory you have that could explain how these incredible dancers — Al Minns and Leon James at Harlem's Savoy Ballroom, back in the 1950s — sync so perfectly with "Around the World," a song written in 1997, we might be too mesmerized to listen. Great dance is truly timeless, as this video proves, bringing new life not just to a routine from decades ago but also to a YouTube video from 2008, which was wildly shared today on Reddit creating even more new fans.
