Dallas Cowboys' fan petitions Obama to give owner the boot

11/27/2012

Few NFL fan bases are as entitled (and insane) as supporters of the Dallas Cowboys. As the team struggles through a disappointing season, disgruntled fans have been very vocal in voicing displeasure. One fan is so ticked off he’s appealing to a higher authority the president. A fan calling himself “Steven M” from Fort Benning, Ga., posted a petition on the White House's social site"We the People," imploring the Obama administration to remove Jerry Jones as the Cowboy’s owner and general manager as a, ahem, "human rights" issue (rabid fandom can give one such a sense of perspective). Steven M. writes that Cowboys fans "have been oppressed by an over controlling, delusional, oppressive dictator for way too long." The White House pulled the petition, citing a "violation of our Terms of Participation," but not before it nabbed over 4,000 up-votes ESPN.com reports.
