Fox News host says victims of violence should 'make better decisions'
12/7/2012There has been no shortage of discussion about the circumstances that led Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher to kill his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins, and then commit suicide outside the team's training facility. On the Fox News show "The Five," the hosts debated whether Perkins would have survived had she herself been armed. But Dana Perino had some interesting, if dismissive advice. Rather than simply arm themselves, Perino suggested that women should "make better decisions" to avoid being the victims of violence, comments that drew harsh criticism from victims' rights advocates and plenty of tweeps.
