It's well-known that shoe-throwing is a grave form of insult in many parts of the world; however, when someone in the crowd hurled a sneaker at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve track today in Montreal, NASCAR driver Danica Patrick learned it can also cost you a race. In the video above, watch how Patrick, who had been leading much of the day's tour race, gets thrown for a loop when she strikes the shoe.
