All the men will be chasing Danica when green flag drops at Daytona
2/17/2013In her brief time since moving to NASCAR, most of Danica Patrick's headlines have revolved around wrecks or romance. (Since getting divorced, she's now dating fellow driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr.) That all changed Sunday when she became the first female to win the pole position for the Daytona 500, or any Sprint Cup race. Patrick was the fastest of 45 drivers in qualifying, clocking a lap of 196.434 mph in her No. 10 Chevrolet for the top starting spot next weekend when she'll try to keep that position in the actual racing. But this day was hers, and even runnerup Jeff Gordon found it "great to be a part of history. I can say I was the fastest guy today." [Source]
