Denmark puts its fist down, makes men and women pay same haircut fee

All hair may not be created equal — some is long and thick, some is short and wispy. But a government body tasked with ensuring equality in Denmark has ruled that hairdressers must charge men and women the same price for haircuts, regardless of hair length and time spent cutting. The Danish Board of Equal Treatment reached its decision following a complaint from a woman upset that her salon charged her $18 more for a trim than it charged guys. The group has been slammed by scissor-wielding workers. "It takes, quite simply, longer with women," the head of a Danish hairdresser organization snipped. [Source]
