Small-town mayor caught selling pot outside an elementary school

Danny Sparks, the mayor of Olive Hill, Ky., has hit a new and shocking low in political scandals. The small-town mayor was arrested for selling marijuana in the parking lot of an elementary school. Since his arrest, Sparks has said he will resign as mayor, a post he’s held since 2003. His arrest was apparently the culmination of a weeks-long investigation by officials. Sparks said in his defense “What happen(ed) tonight is something I have never done before and deeply regret it and hope to move on.”  Which would sound less like a lie if anyone, ever, had just randomly decided to sell drugs on a whim, at an elementary school. #YOLO!
