Dark Knight rises to protect tiny Slovak town
3/15/2012You can question his ill-fitting, pointy-eared mask, but you can't question results. The Slovak town of Dunajska Streda has its own Batman, 26-year-old Zoltan Kohari, and he's keeping his personal Gotham safe. The former house painter left an eight-month stint in jail with the conviction that it was time for him to do right. He turned an empty apartment into a makeshift bat cave and reportedly keeps the town clean, alerts police to suspicious activity and actively patrols the streets. While he has not yet had to use physical violence, his neighbors describe him as a hero (especially the ones under 12). With a paid Batman recently hitting the streets in Brazil, it seems the super hero profession is hitting a boom time.
