Dad gets seriously hairy to raise money for wounded vets

Looking forward to 2013? Probably not as much as Dave Phillips. On New Year's Day, the 27-year-old U.K. dad will cut his hair and beard for the first time in a year. He shaved it all off last New Year's Eve and, for the last 12 months, has let it grow in order to raise money for wounded soldiers and veterans through the charity Help for Heroes. Phillips has already exceeded his fundraising goal of around $1,600. He says he was inspired to tackle his hair-raising project after participating in the Movember movement last year and finding it "just pretty easy."
