49ers kicker yanks Twitter account after fan's 'joke' death threat
12/22/2012David Akers can handle the boos when he misses a field goal, and he's struggled this year after setting an NFL record last season. But death threats from Twitiots? No thanks. The San Francisco 49ers kicker deactivated his Twitter account after a dolt under the handle @RIP_FreeLaddin tweeted, "YOU F----OT IF YOU MISS ONE MORE FIELD GOAL YOU ABOUT TO GET YOUR ENTIRE LIFE ENDED." Naturally, Mr. Hilarity's first reflex was to claim he was hacked, and then that it was a joke-gone-bad. "Media making me seem like a monster," he complained. "While David Akers probably already forgot about this." No, but he's obviously forgetting about Twitter. [Source]
