Helicopter saves lucky dude from mountain lion
2/26/2013Imagine it: You’re hiking on a deserted trail in California. Night is falling — and there's a mountain lion between you and the parking lot. What to do? Better pray you have a cell phone with you. Stuck in precisely that situation, David Nash was able to call the California Highway Patrol, which promptly dispatched a helicopter team to rescue him. The helicopter flew in low to scare off the cat, allowing for Nash to escape. All ended well for him, if not for the mountain lion — it was tracked and killed the next day after it "aggressively approached" a wildlife warden. [Source]
