CIA chief Petraeus resigns over extramarital affair

CIA Director David Petraeus has resigned his position as the head of the country's intelligence agency, citing an extramarital affair and his "extremely poor judgment." In his resignation letter, Petraeus said he spoke to President Obama at the White House on Thursday and Obama accepted his resignation on Friday over the phone. Petraeus, who has been married for more than 37 years, said of the affair, "Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours."
