Bank prez reminds robber that bankers can also be armed and dangerous
11/2/2012For any would-be bank robbers out there, it's best to just completely avoid trying to knock off the Peoples Bank & Trust in Troy, Mo. The bank makes no qualms about allowing customers to carry concealed firearms on its premises (a sign on the door says so), so following a recent holdup, bank president David W. Thompson calmly followed the perp out of the bank and into the parking lot. There he pulled his Colt .38 handgun on the robber and, and when the man made a move inside his jacket, advised, "You don't want to go there. This will end badly." Thompson held the robber gunpoint until police arrived and arrested him; Donald Ray Lee, 58, has been charged with first-degree robbery. [Source]
