Dog stranded by Sandy now the luckiest pooch in showbiz
11/13/2012Actress and animal-lover Denise Richards showed she's just as nice as she is gorgeous by adopting one of the 600-plus doggies left to fend for themselves by Hurricane Sandy. As part of her campaign to encourage you to do the same, Richards took her two daughters to the North Shore Animal League America shelter in Long Island, N.Y., to pick up a "Labrador Mutt-i-gree" called Tara. Richards has adopted more than 2,000 dogs over the years, most of which have gone to live on a farm (no, not "that" kind of farm). But lucky Tara was deemed worthy of a place in the pack at Richards' home and now has a chance to hump some of the best legs in show business. [Source]
