This dog can even make a trip to the dentist bearable

12/11/2012

If every dentist let you pet a kind-hearted dog while having god-knows-what scraped out of your mouth, maybe people would actually look forward to going. This photo that's gone viral on reddit shows the Williamsville, N.Y., clinic of pediatric dentist Dr. Paul Weiss, who's trained his golden retriever Brooke to act as a therapy dog to calm his young patients. If you're wondering whether being near a dog poses a health risk to dental patients: apparently not. Brooke is bathed before each visit and Weiss's office is scrubbed after she leaves.
