12/23/2012Even when he's not on a soapbox, Piers Morgan can get under people's skin. So it's no surprise his anti-gun harangues have fired up the Second Amendment fan club, and now they've launched a deportation petition on the White House website that's already topped 20,000 signatures. It took Morgan about a second and a half to note the irony — "Is my opinion not protected under 1st Amendment?" he tweeted — and even less than that for fellow Brit @der_blethund to protest, "Please desist. We don't want him back." Meanwhile, even Piers himself is soliciting signatures so "Obama has to respond." Because even more than being anti-gun, Piers is pro-attention. [Source]
