Derby champ wins Preakness, closes in on Triple Crown
5/20/2012I'll Have Another has done it again, chasing down Bodemeister in the final seconds to win the 137th running of the Preakness Stakes. By capturing the so-called middle jewel of the Triple Crown, the three-year-old colt is one race away -- the Belmont Stakes on June 9 -- from potentially becoming the first horse to win the sport's elusive Triple Crown since Affirmed won it 34 years ago. Today's race at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore was a near carbon copy of the Kentucky Derby, when I'll Have Another came from behind in the stretch beat the pace-setter Bodemeister, who again finished second.
Do you think I'll Have Another will finish it off at Belmont?
