NBA ref takes blocked shot to the face, still makes the right call

Being an NBA referee isn't all just running up and down the court alongside athletic superstars and making sure things go smoothly. There are real dangers involved. Like balls to the face. Referee Derek Richardson learned this the hard way during a game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder when L.A. forward Caron Butler blocked a shot and sent the ball hurtling right into Richardson's nose. Richardson, a consummate pro, still managed to make the right call even after having been knocked to the ground. Players quickly came over to help him up, but Richardson was fine, shrugging off the moment with a bright smile.
