Did Chick-fil-A pose as teen girl in order to defend itself?
7/25/2012Chick-fil-A' PR nightmare is getting worse after it allegedly created fake a Facebook account as a teenage girl to defend itself against the Jim Henson Company's decision to end its partnership with the chain. After a user called the company out for saying the rift was over a possible safety issue with Muppet toys, an account under the name "Abby Farle" commented that the toys had been pulled weeks before the gay marriage debate erupted. "My friend went to chickfila 3 weeks ago and there was no toys. derr," Farle stated. Some quick investigating found that Abby's profile was only hours old and used a readily available stock photo for her profile picture. There's no evidence that Chick-fil-A was the culprit, but it has generated more headaches for the company. [Source]
