World's oldest person dies 2 weeks after claiming title
12/17/2012It's probably clear why this is such a difficult title to hold on to. Just two weeks after being named the world's oldest person, 115-year-old Dina Manfredini died at a retirement home in Johnston, Iowa. Manfredini inherited the title when 116-year-old Georgian Bessie Cooper died earlier in December. She now leaves it to fellow 115-year-old Jiroemon Kimura of Kyoto, Japan, who was born 15 days after Manfredini, in 1897. Manfredini's cause of death (besides the obvious) was not released. [Source]
