2/6/2013Yoda origin story, are you ready for? Or a Han Solo solo affair? Disney CEO Bob Iger said in an interview with CNBC that the company is really going to milk this “Star Wars” cash cow dry. He confirmed that in addition to the next “Star Wars” trilogy, it would produce spin-off films based on individual characters from the franchise (one blog reported Yoda would be first up). Iger said Disney still plans on making Episodes 7-9 over a six-year period beginning in 2015, but would also release several other films during that period. Disney paid a cool $4 billion last October for the iconic franchise, and is certainly attempting to get its money’s worth out of the deal. [Source]
