More humanlike faces will make robots even cooler and/or scarier
8/14/2012The Hall of Presidents at Disney World is about to get insane. Fistfights between Thomas Jefferson and Chester A. Arthur? Unfortunately, no — but we can expect those animatronic leaders to get a whole more realistic/terrifying. That’s thanks to the advances made in a process called Physical Face Cloning. In Disney’s hands, the process has meant improved “fabricated synthetic skin” for the park’s animatronic robots and much more realistic versions of past presidents. But they’re just going to use those powers for good (reciting the Constitution) and not evil (replacing the actual president with a robot). Right? [Source]
