Boat crew tries to stay calm after running into 100,000 dolphins

There are dolphin sightings, and then there's the "super mega-pod" spotted Thursday off the San Diego coast. Capt. Joe Dutra said he and others aboard his boat were astounded to see about 100,000 dolphins swimming in a span 7 miles long and 5 miles wide. "They were coming from all directions, you could see them from as far as the eye can see," said Dutra, whose boat followed the pod for more than an hour. "I’ve seen a lot of stuff out here … but this is the biggest I’ve ever seen." Experts say the dolphins probably came to the area because it's rich with fish to feed on. At least, it was. [Source]
