This superb footage of a rare dolphin stampede was captured from a whale-watching boat near Dana Point, Calif., including shots taken from the craft's underwater viewing pods. YouTubers were as awed by the 1,000 racing dolphins as the passengers were, posting comments like "Omg this is just amazing.. Couldn't stop smiling." Others worried about the speedy creatures smashing into the boat's propellers, to which Captain Dave posted, "There has never been a case of a dolphin being struck by a whale-watching boat prop in the history of whale-watching in Southern California." Using their echolocation and amazing swimming abilities, Dave says dolphins can "see" the boat better than humans realize.
