Domino's makes a rape joke on their pizza boxes and still makes cardboard flavored pizza. http://t.co/W0T6XLnP

New Domino's ad campaign is talking about pizza toppings, not rape

7/13/2012

In April, Domino’s debuted a new line of artisan pizzas. Unfortunately for the pizza chain, it might have put more thought into its product line than its advertising. The company’s tagline for the pizzas is “No Is The New Yes.” The catchphrase has caused an uproar, as it appears to parrot the “No means no” slogan that is common to anti-rape campaigns. Domino’s campaign focuses on its new handmade pizzas coming as-is, meaning customers are not allowed to request additional toppings. Critics have chastised the company, with one blogger writing that the phrase “looks like it was ripped from a date rape apologist’s playbook.” [Source]
