Columnist calls for repeal of 2nd amendment, razing NRA

There's absolutely nothing subtle about Des Moines Register contributor Donald Kaul's recent column on gun rights: "Repeal the Second Amendment ... surely the Founders couldn’t have envisioned weapons like those used in the Newtown shooting when they guaranteed gun rights." Kaul also advocates declaring the NRA "a terrorist organization and mak[ing] membership illegal. ... We did it to the Communist Party, and the NRA has led to the deaths of more of us than American Commies ever did." Predictably, Kaul's call to un-arming has raised hackles among gun-rights supporters around the country. [Source]
