RFK's son sues nurses he scuffled with after his baby's birth

1/9/2013

The birth of a son is typically a joyous occasion, but for Douglas Kennedy, son of the late Robert F. Kennedy, it led to a scuffle, followed by lots of legal finger-pointing. Kennedy filed a lawsuit Friday alleging defamation and malicious prosecution by two nurses at a Mount Kisco, N.Y., hospital. Kennedy says he got into a tussle with the nurses last year after he tried to take his 2-day-old baby, Anthony, out for some fresh air. Kennedy was acquitted in November of child endangerment and physical harassment and now claims the nurses held him up to "ridicule and scorn" and prompted his prosecution with statements they made to the media. Like many newborns, this dispute apparently won't rest. [Source]
