Dr. Bronner's CEO arrested at White House hemp protest
6/12/2012David Bronner, the long-haired president of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps, locked himself — and several of his hemp plants — in a 64-square-foot steel cage near the White House today for three hours before firemen took a chainsaw to it and removed him. Before his arrest, the colorful head of the soap manufacturer — which uses hemp oil in its products — implored President Obama to permit farmers to grow hemp in the United States. "Obama has promised a rational approach to policies," Bronner yelled from his cage, where he attached a microphone. "So far as president he has blown off the U.S. hemp industry."
Should farmers be allowed to grow hemp?
