Neurosurgeon says he has proof heaven is real, describes it

Most of us probably assumed we wouldn't get a definitive answer to the question of whether heaven is real until we were no longer able to ask, but in an ultra-trippy Newsweek cover story, neuroscientist Dr. Eben Alexander claims to have incontrovertible proof that heaven actually exists. How does he know? He had a bacterial infection that shut down his neocortex, and while in a coma, he saw "a place of clouds. Big, puffy, pink-white ones" and he traveled on a butterfly wing with a young woman with "high cheekbones," "deep-blue eyes" and "golden brown tresses" who told him he was loved, safe and could do no wrong.
