Christians pop off over Dr Pepper's evolution-themed ad
9/14/2012Much of the attention on angry religious types this week is appropriately focused on Libya and Egypt, but a less-violent controversy has now washed up on our shores. The fervor is over Dr Pepper's new evolution-spoofing print ad, which shows an ape turning into an upright walking human soon after he discovers the fizzy beverage. Christians outraged by the ad took to Dr Pepper's Facebook page en masse to express their discontent with the perceived slight to their beliefs. "I ain't no freakin' chimp," wrote one. "No more Dr Pepper for my household," read another. [Source]
