Dracula's graveyard is falling into people's gardens
1/11/2013Bad news for gardens in Whitby, England: Bones from a cliffside graveyard above them are literally falling into their vegetable plots. St. Mary’s Church is already on the tourist trail because it features significantly in Bram Stoker's vampire classic, "Dracula." Now, local experts expect an upswing in visitors, with the crumbling graveyard providing an impossible-to-fake sense of creepy authenticity. The graveyard dates back 900 years, though it stopped accepting new residents in 1865. Recent heavy rains caused the small landslides that unearthed the bones. Church officials say that all the bones have since been reburied. [Source]
