Driver takes offense to plaid jacket, tries to run wearer down

Reason #243 not to step out in plaid. Police say Eugene Anderson, 31, was already in a dark mood when he left his home in Tiburon, Calif., after a domestic dispute. Anderson was apparently driving to buy some cigarettes (so add nicotine deprivation to his s**t list) when he spied a man walking on the sidewalk and allegedly tried to run him down. Police say Anderson told them he "didn’t like the plaid jacket the man was wearing." Plaid-wearers are obviously always on high threat alert, however, and the man wearing the offending jacket jumped out of the way in time.
