Driver takes offense to plaid jacket, tries to run wearer down
7/26/2012Reason #243 not to step out in plaid. Police say Eugene Anderson, 31, was already in a dark mood when he left his home in Tiburon, Calif., after a domestic dispute. Anderson was apparently driving to buy some cigarettes (so add nicotine deprivation to his s**t list) when he spied a man walking on the sidewalk and allegedly tried to run him down. Police say Anderson told them he "didn’t like the plaid jacket the man was wearing." Plaid-wearers are obviously always on high threat alert, however, and the man wearing the offending jacket jumped out of the way in time. Notably, police said the plaid jacket wasn’t even that "loud." Anderson was arrested over the near miss. [Source]
