Man who swerved to avoid moose hits bear instead

8/16/2012

On the bright side, he missed the moose. But on the down side, a Norwegian man who swerved to avoid driving into one crashed into a bear instead. Neither the unnamed man nor the moose were injured by the accident, which happened around midnight Wednesday in a rural area north of Oslo, but wildlife officials are still trying to track down the bear. To us, the most amazing part of the story is that he even FOUND a bear. There are — or possibly were — only 150 brown bears in the country, which means that, on average, there's one bear every 991 miles. For their sake, let's hope this guy isn't planning another road trip anytime soon. [Source
