Drivers to race on amazing giant Hot Wheels track
6/21/2012As a child, did you ever think how awesome it would be if your favorite toys were real? One team of engineers decided to make their childhood fantasies a reality, building a life-sized "Hot Wheels Double Loop Dare" as part of this year's X-Games. Engineers at Laissez Faire built the 60-foot vertical loop. On June 30 in Los Angeles, two drivers will race down the track at 52 mph, merge into one huge loop, and, thanks to 7 Gs of gravitational force (the same as a fighter pilot), be spat out to complete the jump. If all goes to plan, it will be the first time "two cars mounted a vertical loop at once."
